Periodicals

Periodicals are publications that are published on a regular basis (e.g. daily, weekly, etc.). They can be broken down into the following categories:

  • Journals :: scholarly publications, reviewed by subject specialists
  • Magazines :: popular information for the general public
  • Newspapers :: up-to-the-minute information
Though our library subscribes to over 170 print periodicals, we have direct access to more than 3000 titles via our periodicals databases. In fact, an efficient way to find an article on a specific topic, particularly on current events, is to search the periodical databases. Librarians can help you to search a periodical database efficiently and to locate a full-text article if one is not available in a print periodical.
