    Oxford Reference Online
    Over 100 language and subject dictionaries and reference works in a single cross-searchable resource. [Not available off-campus.]

    Project Muse
    Project Muse's collection consists of over 300 scholarly journals from humanities, arts, and social sciences. [Off-campus access to citations and abstracts.]

    SIRS Renaissance
    Current full-text articles focusing on the arts and the humanities; many articles supplemented by graphics, including art reproductions, photographs and illustrations. [Off-campus access with password.]

    World History: Ancient and Medieval Eras
    Articles, maps, timelines, and images about all aspects of ancient and medieval history. [Off-campus access with password.]

    University of Texas-Austin: Perry-Castaneda Map Collections
    The Perry-Castaneda Map collection consists of material in public domain (no copyright strings attached). In addition to the current maps (many of which come from the CIA), there are historical maps. It is recommended to read the Frequently Asked Questions in order to have an easier time printing the maps. (Randolph Hock, The Extreme Searcher's Internet Handbook)

    Exploring Ancient World Cultures

    An on-line course supplement for students and teachers of the ancient and medieval worlds. It features its own essays and primary texts as well as a substantial index of internet sites. Users should begin by selecting an image on the home page; each image represents one of eight ancient world cultures: The Near East, India, Egypt, China, Greece, Rome, Early Islam and Medieval Europe.
